Polyvinyl chloride
(PVC): the density of ρ = 1.4 or so, with the flame burning black smoke, remove
the flame automatically extinguished. According to its performance can be
divided into ordinary PVC, UL requirements of PVC, and SR-PVC. Ordinary PVC
tensile strength, elongation performance are poor, the temperature level is
relatively low, do not burn. UL in line with the general requirements of the
PVC tensile strength, elongation performance is better, and noted in its use
can be divided into a variety of different materials of PVC, not easy to burn.
SR-PVC: SR-PVC is semi-hard
PVC, resistant to burning, high strength, temperature and voltage performance
better than PVC, not easy to burn, burning acid pungent nose and water sink.
Polypropylene (PP):
the density of ρ = 0.9 or so, commonly used in low-voltage cables. Its good
tensile strength, excellent elongation, light weight, easy to burn, burning
side of the edge of burning fuel oil burning smell.
Polyethylene (PE):
the density of 0.91-1.26 between. Easy to burn, burning side of the burning
side of the smell of paraffin burning. Commonly used in signal cables. Commonly
used PE has LD-PE, HD-PE and FM-PE.
Low-density PE
(LD-PE): density of ρ = 0.91-0.92, light weight, easy to burn.
High-density PE
(HD-PE): density of 0.94-0.95, light weight, easy to burn. Relative to the
LD-PE hard.
Foaming PE (FM-PE):
material is soft, easy to burn. Under the microscope to see the pores, the
insulation performance is poor.
